How Do I Know If I Need XL?
Our XL sunglasses are roughly 8%-10% bigger than our average size. If sunglasses normally feel tight or don't cover all of your eye region, then you should try our XL.

I have tried on hundreds of generic, "over-the-counter" sunglasses and had one pair that fit just alright enough to use. Eventually broke them after years, and never could find another pair and never thought I would.
I came across Detour's products from an Instagram ad, boasting better-fitting sunglasses for guys with bigger heads. After being told I just "have a big brain" most of my life, I ordered a pair and I am floored with the comfort, style and effectiveness in what they're made to do. I work outside a lot and also do a lot of driving for work, and it feels so great not to have to hope the sun fits perfectly behind the sun visor, or to have to simply pray the sun doesn't come out.
These have the best UV protection I've ever worn. Even the sunglasses I had before that said they offered UV protection, I still felt as though I had to sort of squint behind the lenses when the sun was at its most potent, but not with these.
Working in the electrical industry, quality of the items I wear in the field is important. They feel sturdy, the springs feel good and solid, and flex easily with little to no persuasion, while being firm enough to hold them behind the ears with the wrap-around design, which is fantastic. It's amazing that these can feel almost weightless, but still offer such a solid connection to the head.
Detour has earned themselves a customer for life. Even my girlfriend is thrilled that I've finally found sunglasses that work, and she said I look damn fine in them, too.

Second pair of glasses from Detour and I’m 100% sold! I have several pairs of Oakleys and have worn them exclusively for well over a decade. Having an option for those of us with big heads changes everything.

Maybe I just got a bad pair but the sides of the glasses that meet at the frames isn’t sold. Looks great fits great, guess we will see if they last!
