Warranty Policy

6 Month Warranty:

Your shades are covered for 6 months after purchase! We offer free lens and frame replacements for damaged products within the first 6 months of owning them. 

To claim a replacement, simply send an email to hello@detoursunglasses.com with the order number and photo of the damaged product. Our team will typically respond within 1 business day.

Customers are limited to one free warranty replacement per pair.

What’s covered:

  • Broken hinges
  • Delaminating lenses
  • Peeling frames
  • Unusual damage
  • Manufacturing defects

What’s not covered:

  • Scuffs, scrapes, and scratches from regular wear and tear
  • Lost or stolen sunglasses

We offer $25 replacements for scratched lenses, depending on frame. Reach out to us at hello@detoursunglasses regarding scratched lenses. 

LIFETIME $25 Replacement Plan

This optional Lifetime Replacement Plan costs just $5 and guarantees $25 replacements for life! If your sunglasses are lost, broken, damaged, or stolen, you can get a new pair for only $25, including shipping.

Lifetime = Your lifetime. 

Unlimited = Get a replacement as many times as you need. 

Use it 2 weeks after purchase, 2 months, 20 years, or all of the above! 

Lifetime Warranty replacements for international orders will be discounted to $25 USD, which will be converted to the equivalent amount in your local currency.

We introduced our Lifetime Warranty at the start of 2023. Any orders placed before the year 2023 were automatically grandfathered into our Lifetime Warranty plan.

To request a replacement just shoot us an email at hello@detoursunglasses.com with the name of the sunglasses you need replaced and the original order number if possible.

We will email you an invoice for the replacement, typically within 1 business day.

Just remember that each Lifetime Replacement Plan only covers 1 pair of sunglasses, so if you're ordering multiple colors and styles of sunglasses you'll need to purchase a separate replacement plan for each one.

 

DISCLAIMER: The Replacement Plan is for personal use only and cannot be used for resale. If we determine you are abusing the program your warranty can be revoked. The replacement pair you request must be the same exact pair that was purchased. If that pair is no longer available the next closest match will be given. If you ordered multiple styles and colors of sunglasses but only 1 Replacement Warranty your policy will be assigned to the first pair you request for replacement. You must purchase multiple warranties in order to protect multiple pairs. This is valid only on sunglasses and blue light blockers. Goggles, accessories and other merchandise are excluded from the Lifetime Replacement program. Detour reserves the right to make adjustments to the program at any time. 

Snow and Moto Goggles:

All our goggles are backed by an industry-leading LIFETIME warranty against defects in workmanship and manufacturer materials. This warranty does not protect against improper use, improper repair of the goggles, or scratched lenses.
